Dubai Water Quality Report · February 2026

Your Water Is 500 PPM Hard.
Here's What That Costs You Every Month.

Dubai's DEWA-fed water sits at roughly 500 ppm total dissolved solids — five times the WHO recommended ceiling. Every litre that passes through your villa is depositing calcium and magnesium onto your pipes, your appliances, your skin, and your glass.

Four Steps · No Surprises

How Soften Works

From first reading to first soft shower: most villas are fully treated within five working days.

01

Free Water Test

A Soften technician visits your villa with a calibrated TDS meter and handheld hardness test kit. The reading takes four minutes and gives you a printed ppm figure before we leave.

Covers: TDS, hardness, chlorine residual, pH

02

System Sizing

We size the softener to your villa's floor area, occupant count, and DEWA connection diameter. A single A4 specification sheet shows the unit model, resin volume, and salt consumption per month.

Typical villa: 1.5–2.5 m³/hr flow rate

03

Installation Day

Our two-person crew installs the bypass valve, brine tank, and control head in three to four hours. No tiles broken, no overnight stays. Water is off for under forty minutes total.

Warranty: 5 years parts, 2 years labour

04

Annual Maintenance

We schedule one visit per year to regenerate the resin bed, replace the sediment pre-filter, and recalibrate the control valve. Salt top-ups are delivered on a standing order.

Annual service: AED 450 all-inclusive

What Happens After Installation

The white crust on our shower glass was back within a week of cleaning — every single time. After Soften installed the system in October, we haven't touched the squeegee once. The TDS reading dropped from 490 to 74 ppm on the day they left.

TDS: 490 → 74 ppm

Priya Menon

Villa owner · Arabian Ranches II

We manage 340 staff rooms in JAFZA and our boiler maintenance bill was running at AED 38,000 a year. Twelve months after the Soften installation across three blocks, that number is AED 9,400. The system paid for itself in seven months.

Maintenance: AED 38k → AED 9.4k/yr

James Okafor

Facilities Manager · JAFZA Accommodation Block C

Our daughter developed eczema three weeks after we moved from Edinburgh. Our dermatologist suspected the water. We booked the free TDS test and it came back at 512 ppm. Six weeks after installation her skin has almost completely cleared.

Water: 512 ppm → 88 ppm
